It is said that, by February next year Najafgarh is likely to get a new 100-bed fully air-conditioned government hospital. Pravesh Sahib Singh, Member of Parliament from West Delhi plans to have the hospital built on the Rural Health Training Centre campus.
Like other hospitals, this will also have a delivery unit, an intensive care unit and an emergency ward. It will also have a paediatrics wards and an ICU for neonates and children. Singh said that this hospital is considered a great relief for those that are living in the rural areas and around Najafgarh.
The Rural Health Training centre provides training to medical interns, auxiliary nurse midwifery and community health nursing training. Organization also conducts field studies that are based on nutrition, health education, communicable diseases, etc. So far, the centre also provided health facilities in the area through three primary health centers and 16 sub-centers.
