On March 6, a jawan of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) died in a major fire at central’s Delhi’s CGO complex that took place at 8:30am. This happened due to the Jawan rushing into the burning area of the building to help in the rescue.
MP Godra, a sub-inspector with the CISF was on duty when a major fire broke out on the fifth floor of the government building. As the Jawan continued helping after rushing to the spot, he soon fell unconscious after inhaling too much smoke. Despite being rushed to the AIIMS, he was already declared dead.
The fire broke out at the office of the ministry of social justice that was located on the fifth floor of the building and 24 fire engines were rushed to the spot at once.
