First Safari park unveils in two years

On March 7, Hardeep Singh Puri, Union minister of state for housing and urban development announced that Delhi is expected to get its first animal safari park in the next two years. There’s also a park in Dwarka, which will have a city forest and representations from various states across India.

The Badarpur thermal power plant had to be permanently shut down since October 15 2018, due to where the city forest would be developed, along with bring down pollution levels in Delhi. It was also said on December 14 last year that the central government plans to convert the once-polluting power station into an eco-park.   

Park will be developed in the next and will have many components such as replicas of major monuments from across India, a large water body, an aquarium and stalls where cuisine from across India.
