On the afternoon of March 13, an evacuation had taken place at Akshardham station. This was due to smoke coming from the last coach from a Delhi Metro train going towards Noida.
According to the officials, this incident has temporarily affected the Metro services on the Blue Line. A spokesperson from the DMRC said that there was a report about smoke coming from a Delhi Metro train heading towards Noida.
According to the officials of the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation), 20 minutes were taken for withdrawing the train from services caused minor delays on the line. Passengers had no choice but to wait at the Akshardham station for several minutes and the trains that came were also overcrowded. But services returned back to normal at 3:30pm.
