In order to fight off severe levels of pollution in Delhi, a ban on construction activities at night was issued. This ban got a hit on some of the major construction projects that were being planned in Delhi.
With the improvement in the air quality going on, authorities say that the ban would be lifted soon. This decision was made by Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority (EPCA), which monitors the performance of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP).
Sunita Narain, member of EPCA said that all the anti-pollution measures to fight very poor and severe levels of air have been lifted except for ban on construction at night. The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) was asked to review the situation in order for the ban to be lifted.
