NEW DELHI: The Delhi government will bear all hospital expenses of victims of road accidents, burns or acid attacks under a new policy approved on Tuesday by the state cabinet, chaired by chief minister Arvind Kejriwal. Light December rains give Delhi a breather, air quality improves

NEW DELHI: Delhi high court ruled in favour of the two grandchildren of the Rajmata of Jaipur, Gayatri Devi, saying that they are the legal heirs to her property. Unauthorized constructions in Delhi may get a breather

Neighborhood News Desk/ New Delhi: The Centre is preparing to extend a legal immunity that spares unauthorized constructions. Government had ensured through a law stating that no sealing or demolition would happen to those illegal constructions in residential and commercial buildings. The Law gave protection to all illegal constructions, including unauthorized colonies. Earthquake hits Uttarakhand, tremors felt in Delhi-NCR

NEW DELHI: A magnitude 5.5 earthquake jolted people in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) on Wednesday night. Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the quake originated in Uttarakhand’s Rudraprayag district at a depth of 30 kilometers. Crackdown on Delhi bars serving those below 25 yrs

NEW DELHI: This festival season, the excise department is keeping a close watch on restaurants and bars for violations – ranging from illegal sale of liquor to underage drinking. While the jury is out on lowering the minimum drinking age from the current 25 years to 18 or 21, the department is determined to implement the rules as they stand.
